Collision warning fault
i started the car this morning, after the gym and i got a warning light that there was a problem with the collision braking system. i only had a short trip to the house and it went off before i got there. leaving in a few and i'm hoping it doesn't pop up again right now, closest dealer is 2 months out on loaner cars because of all the flooded cars they had from our may rains, smh. 2200 miles, not a happy camper, wednesday feeling like a monday.

Was the sun light pointed at the windshield? If the camera is blinded by light it will show you warnings that those systems aren't working.

I got the message one time before and for a fact I know that there was no sunlight pointing at the camera because the road was surrounded by a thick forest. It didnt work the duration of the trip but once I turned it off and back on again it started working and has continued to work fine ever since.

If it's been fine ever since it sounds like it was blinded by the light. Maybe back it in to that parking spot from now on?

This happened on our 435i. Went away when the heavy rain stopped. Meh.
