Cooled central armrest / glovebox
Hi,
I noticed that my central armrest seemed cooler inside yesterday. Is it.possible that it is cooled via the ac? I thought the fan is for the power supply of the phone cradle? Also, there s nothing coolin the glove box, correct? |

Short answer is I don't know.....All I know is, when its hot outside and cold in, the centre armrest box is also cold - I haven't paid it any attention. I just think its a really cool feature [apologies, joke ends]

On previous models the center consol only cooled when the A/C was on regardless if it was on auto or not or any of the settings. On the F15 it appears to be the same.
On the previous cars, there was a cover that you could close to stop the flow of the air into the consol, I am not sure on the F15. |

The center console has a vent that is feed from the rear climate. If you close off the 2 rear vents you can feel the air into the console increase greatly.
I figured this out on a trip where the lady had a pillow draped over the console and it restricted the air flow out of those vents, my center console got VERY cold. I would guess it was near 40F in there. We had gum in there and got it out to find it was cold and hard. |
