Order placed! The wait begins....

I've been lurking around on this forum for quite some time now and finally got around to register an account
Graduated from college 3 years ago and ever since the 4th year of college, Ive been wanting to get rid of my shitty 2005 civic to buy a sports car. I was obsessed with the STI at first, but as years go by I went from wanting an STI to brz to 335 to S4 to e90 m3 to C63. Then finally after sorting stuff out for my marriage and getting a well paid job, i realized I can actually be able to afford a new M3 which seemed really far from reach 3 years ago. I began searching and reading every article about the F80, probably watched every video on youtube for at least 5 times and finally i walked into my local dealer and placed an order. Not until very late at night after i placed my order i realized i am actually making my dream come true.
So heres my order details:
2015 BSM/SO M3
Premium Package
Executive Package
Carbon fibre trim
Carbon fibre roof
6-speed manual

Production begins in June, expected delivery after mid July.

Congrats! The wait sucks, but I hear it's well worth it!

It looks like dealers have plenty allocations here in Toronto, I was told they can squeeze it in for May production but my sales person had told me that they might have rebates or rate deduction by the time June production starts which is the last one for 2015 model.

I ordered my F80 March 3rd with a week 24 production (June 8-12). I didn't make any changes to my original order until today when I changed the transmission and wheel color.

Regardless of that, you don't have to WAIT that long. Your production month is same as mine and you ordered your car 2 months after I did!

I must have that special "corinthian" leather that Ricardo Montalban used to advertise.

And i loose out on some new $1000 bonus they have going that can be used for the M3... so pissed.

I put my deposit down on the 22nd of March. My CA told me they had a m4 slot and would do something to have to changed to a m3 allocation. Was told a few days later that the m4 allocation was sold.

My CA has his manager working with a regional manager to get me a allocation.

I'm now pissed because of the dealership is having trouble getting one and tells me they hope to hear something this week. I'm not even sure when the car will be built. Anyone in the same situation as I'm in? What you guys did to speed things up

Same here waiting for an allocation on an M3. I will know today or tomorrow if my dealer will get one.

That $1000 anniversary credit is only good till june 1 though... so basically a one month window, woulda had to order car in march and hope it arrived this month before june 1st... I swear ive never been this frustrated trying to buy a car. Really turning me off to bmw and this idiotic process. It should be, hey You want to buy this car? OK then, put your order and we will build it... But no, its about allocations like its a damn special edition ferrari.

Luckily for me I have the $1500 USAA Credit so I'll be getting the car close to invoice.. ($180 above)

I completely agree with you man. My first time going through this and I'm not pleased thus far. My sales person has emailed me everyday for the past two weeks saying no allocation yet. She said they get something like 2 a month on an M3. I think you'd have more luck ordering a Ferrari.... I literally have two orders in at two different dealerships.... the one even told me you can put your order in but we're not going to get an allocation for one.

The other thing that gets me is if you look at available inventory in the whole country on a 2015 M3 they're all optioned out M3's that will just keep sitting on the lots. This has been one of my dream cars for a good while now and I'm not about to settle for a color/ options I don't want.

Like you said just a huge turn off

How did you get a $1500 USAA Credit? Did you buy the car thru them or finance thru them?

It's a BMW military program.

Mine is in production and I was told as long as the car is here by June 30th that I will get the $1000 anniversary credit on top of the discount I already have. I think the June 1st date is the last day you can lock for that discount.

WOW. You stole it from BMW AG lol. That's even better than the center employee lease deal.

Obviously I don't have a car/ production number yet but all the details of the sale are laid out if/when my dealer gets an allocation.

USAA offers it's military member's (Active/ Veteran/ Retired..etc) a discount. It so happens USAA offers a $1500 incentive towards an M3/ M4. Other models are different so I can't tell you the exact discounts.

I've been a USAA member since 2000 and all I did was call the finance number and they put me in touch with someone who faxed me over a copy of a letter with a dealer code so when I'm ready to order I'll receive the discount. I've already confirmed it with several dealers....

Hope this helps
