Hello Boys & Girls,
I wanted to reach out to the community as to get your advice on which color options work best on the F80 M3. To make a long story short i thought YMB would be my color paired with SS interior. Its a great combo but feel like i might regret it down the road. It's screams attention which i don't necessarily mind but think it may be a bit much and not sure if it will be easy for resale as its not the color for most individuals out there. I know that this is clearly my decision and i should go with my gutt feeling but now i decided to lean towards SSII as its still a unique color choice and shows off the lines of the car real well. With that being said i would like all SSII owners and others to chime in which interior opt works best with this color. On a side note i will be getting full leather interior and wanted to know what combo in your opinion looks best? I'm coming out of a Lemans e92 m3 with blk interior. Not trying to start a war over one or the other just looking for some advice to make the right decision. I appreciate all the help and advice as i look to join with my F80. Thanks |

All 3 options in you poll work well, so you cannot go wrong with any of them.
I voted for the SS interior because this is what I opted for in my M4. I really like the SS interior in my car. Because there are still a lot of black surface, it still feels like a dark interior but with pale accents. It is very elegant and classy. While the all black interior looks really good and sporty with the contrasting stitching, I find it a little austhere, especially in the back seat area of the M4. There are very little contrasting accents, especially if you go with the CF trim. It is all black everywhere. The SO interior looks awesome IMO, especially with full leather and the orange/reddish contrasting stitching. I just preferred the more conservative aspect of SS.

I have SO full leather and it is absolutely stunning with the orange stitching on the dash. However mine is on an all white car but would not hesitate with SS and you cannot go wrong with any of the choices. That said, the adult choice would be SS and would be my choice if I was single and controlled who was in and out of my car. With kids and a dog it ain't happening

Ss/ss is so beautiful. Haven't seen one irl but when my dog out grows the F82, I'll try to get a permission to get one. Seeing sir loin's car in august for the first time made me envy him more than anyone.

SO with full black leather. Why black, well i had a light beige leather on my m3 - didn't hold up well in real everyday use. I like the contrast between the SS and black. Also black will hold up well in real everyday use. I do like the light colors, but my past experience is light colors don't hold up well.

I have SS exterior with Full Black interior. To be honest, I prefer a lighter interior like grey - but think the SS interior is too light. I didn't want to deal with the upkeep of the SS interior - so I chose black.

Went with black on mine due to easier to maintain and i plan to keep the car long term. I have sat in cars with light gray and red interiors where you can see black scuffs. If it doesnt matter at all then what the hell, go bold and pick ss or so

I have a SSII w/black interior on the way - completely safe option. Really think it looks good with the SS interior but will be carting 3 young kids around with all their stuff, so thats why I went with black interior, otherwise would have gone with SS.

The black interior in the F8x looks great, especially in full leather. They did a really great job with the trims and contrast stitching to avoid making it boring like the E9x was. I'm not a big fan of SSII, but if I had to I'd get it with black.

I like the black it wears in an inconspicuous way IMO. I looked at my dealer and found the SO showed it's creases early in its wearing in. I am a little OCD with that so black for me. I like to fly under the radar also.
The SS looks good but I don't want to put time into keeping it pristine. Get what you want not what everyone tells you to get - it's the only way to really be happy. Btw SS exterior is great. It hides dirt and dust well and looks great in person. On a bright sunny day it looks HD silver and on overcast shady days it does a nice job mimicking the sky color. |

Expecting to pick up my SS M3 later this month. I've gone with Sonoma Beige and I can't wait to see it in the flesh. Of the options you put forward, black is my choice - I had an E39 M5 in that combination and it worked really well.
Ultimately, it's not up to us - whatever you choose, you'll doubtless love it. |

I vote black. Personally I find Sakhir Orange only works with gray/black/white cars. Silverstone can have a blue or green hue that doesn't match well to the Orangy leather. Beige or silver interior could be nice, but be prepared to work hard for it to stay nice. If you only lease the car, no prob. But if you buy to keep a while, black is the only choice IMO.

I was contemplating between MG and SSII. I ultimately went with MG, but I was going to pick SO interior for both
