Probably the same Diesel Touareg they marketed by showing it pull an airplane. The torque on that thing is monstrous. It's a sneaky great truck with much more ability that would ever be needed. I work a lot in North Africa and have seen the actual Touareg people travelling across the desert on their camels. Its almost like you step back in history when you see how some groups still live today. Story goes they saved the son of then-VW chairman when he crashed in a desert race in the Sahara. He repaid them by naming their SUV after the group. They dont belong to any country and are free to travel between Algeria, Libya, Tunisia and a few other N African countries.
I spend too much time there. I shouldn't know these things.

Anyway, that was funny and as I said in the other thread where Damasconian posted it, this video should be mandatory watching for anyone who wants to say AWD without winters is better than RWD with winters.

Funny, I just bought a Tacoma when I sold my E92 M3, so my stable also consists of a Tacoma and the M4.

Funny, I took it as the exact opposite. I was thinking lousy snow tires still get stuck in the snow. Chances are my 335i xDrive would not have gotten stuck where Nick did at the end of the video. Goes to show you, the eyes only "see" what the mind already believes. |
