cantc0pe's MOD journal [Sakhir Orange]
Hey all, its been quite a while since i've made a post on these forums... the last BMW i modded was the first 335i in the country back in 07 which was fitted with the first vorsteiner kit (i think its still my sig. haha!).
Anyways, i was lucky enough at the end of dec to come across a car sitting in the dealership that was EXACTLY what i would have speced myself. Someone ordered it, and decided not to pick it up... 'twas destiny. I wanted to go 4 door, since this is my daily driver, 6MT because I'm a G, carbon cloth because i like the feel of being planted, and carbon ceramic brakes because welp, they look badass and i'll be tracking the car at some point. So most of my previous cars we're highly modded, however with this one I'm going for the 'Stock + look'. Just really cleaning it up in every way possible. So long story short, i took my baby over to EAS (absolute class acts) the other day for a spring / spacer install and they shot these photos over - i could not be happier with how the car is looking while still remaining very practical for a DD. We were also able to test fit the carbon seat backs on the whip, which are beautiful! Current Mods: -IND full cosmetic package in gloss black / sakhir orange -35% tint all the way around -H&R sport springs (f80 specific) -Mach Schnell spacers 15mm front, 12mm rear. Coming Next month: -BMW performance CF spoiler -remove BMW M3 badge -BMW performance exhaust with CF / gloss black tips -Carbon Fiber Seat covers (as seen in pics). I was looking at these pics today on EAS's Flickr.. incredible. Really liking those seatbacks! The speed cloth looks awesome too!

great looking! Id say you could go bigger on the spacers if you wanted.
I must say, while Id never order the cloth interior, I do think it looks fantastic! especially with the carbon seat backs. love the car!

I almost went 18mm in front and 15mm in back, but ultimately decided to go a bit on the conservative side as the main goal is to keep this as a daily driver, and as functional as possible. i've never had a car up to this point with cloth interior... took a big leap of faith on it, and I'm actually really stoked on it. Of course the leather is 'nicer' but there's something raw with the speed cloth that really touches the enthusiast in me. |

Stop the press though what are those CF seat back inserts, they look amazing, where are they from IND? Are they a clip on kind of fit? Congrats again, muchos win!

Fantastic pics, and totally reinforces my Sakhir Orange selection (not that I needed it, I love it).
That Carbonstructure looks amazing....again, if only they allowed full leather dash with it. Yours are some of the best pics capturing it though. +1 on the seat back inserts |
