Talking Akrapovic Catless Downpipe + Evolution Line Exhaust // VIDEO INSIDE // TAG MS

As most of you know, about 5 months ago, we recieved the very first Akrapovic Evolution Line Titanium Exhaust system for the F80/F82/F83 chassis. We had the privilege of installing it on our own BlackBetty M4, and made a few videos for everyone to see & hear. Fast forward to January 2015, we had a special visit from our friends at Akrapovic North America to get the Catless Downpipes added to the Titanium Evolution System along with the new Akrapovic Delete-R CEL Suppressor. Adding the Akrapovic catless downpipes + Delete-R kit made the Akrapovic Demo car a complete vehicle featuring every product that they currently offer for the F80/F82 chassis.

So what does it sound like? Well.... true in typical Akrapovic fashion, the system is perfect and very well executed. The heat shielding, flanges, and fitment around the downpipes ensure an OEM quality solution while eliminating the restrictive catalytic converters. This allows the turbos to spool more freely and sound much more aggressive. The Akrapovic Delete-R ensures that vehicles (who do not elect for an ECU upgrade) to get the unwanted Check Engine Light which potentially could dial back your engine's performance.

Check out the video and also click on any of the photos for more info.

Yes, Anytime there is no cat you will get that smell. I really haven't noticed t as bad as a couple other build I have done. maybe its the design of the car.

Absolutely! the ESS tune is what we are currently running. The Delete R plug in multiple sensors including the O2 sensors. It allows the DME to understand that there is no fault code needed for the lack of cat efficiency.

So this is a true O2 simulator? It doesn't actually delete the check engine light, but actually prevents it?

Curious what the total weight savings are. I am not a fan of eliminating pollution gear, but if I had the $ this is definitely one time I would make an exception... Beautiful engineering.
