Jerky take off pls help
Hi everyone
My car has only 3000km on the clock. 2 days ago I drove a 600km trip to the coast. When I got to my destination I notice that if I take off from standstill a little aggressively my car jerks a little and then she goes. If I take off slow everything seems nice and smooth. If I am at a stop and press my accelarator half or three quarter down my car goes then gives a jerk and carry on. I tried in efficient and sport same result. Does any member know what this might be. It makes me look like a useless driver. Thanks in advance for any input. |

Yes u right
The moment u put it in second and floor it it's fine. My worry is I don't remember it being there before. Not sure if I never tramped it before because I was running the car in nor did u try the launch control yet. Either way I'm sure this can't be normal. |

What throttle map are you in? Efficient, sport, or sport plus? Sport plus is the most sensitive and the most difficult to be smooth in. I've switched back to sport and sometimes prefer efficient because it's smoother for throttle modulation.

I use only efficient and sport.
Never tried sport plus. If it's normal I can live with it. It's just that I never felt it for the first 2500 km. I know I was running the car in so I never really gave it the beans. |

It's called the "bunny hop". There is nothing wrong with the car. It's your right foot that's the problem. With a sensitive throttle, when you press the throttle, the car's front end raises slightly, causing you to press a little harder than you intended to. So your body retracts your foot a little, causing the car to slow down, and the front end drops. Then you subconsciously press a little harder and the cycle continues until the sensitivity is eliminated, which can be done by switching to second gear, or slam on the gas pedal. To prevent it don't go beyond "sport" for throttle response.
