Does your car burn oil?

My buddy has a 2014 M6, and he goes for a top up every 2-3000km. I have about 17,000km on my car and try to check it every 1000km, and it always reads at the max. (He has about 30,000km on his). He had the same problem with his 2008 M6.

Does anybody's car burn oil??

Not yet in the M3. My 135i used coolant, which I thought was odd with no leaks

I babied my car during break in, I wonder if that's why?
He got a off demo car with 5000km so who knows what went on before he got his.

S63tu burns tons of oil. S55 so far doesn't look to (like the N55). That is normal for your friends M6 and the one before it as well (S85).

Compared to my 335i it would have been half by now or need a fill, On top of how I drive I'm just really surprised that it still reads full which is why its quite funny to me.

First m car I know of that doesn't burn oil. It's been 4000 miles since my breakin service and it reads full.

as far as I know many prior m owners were used to a quart of 10w60 every 1000-2000 miles at $14 per quart or liter.
