Has it been confirmed these M PERF tips won't replace stock tips?

https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462

I would love to throw these in and save myself 4-5K....but I have heard it won't replace the stock tips?

from what I have read and heard they are not a direct fit may need some modification to fit.

I think I commented on another post of yours or commented back to you. The Vorsteiner tips are a direct fitment to the stock exhaust if you're looking to keep the stock exhaust but change its appearance. Exhaust tips are currently in stock

Oh Shi* I may have missed that post! I just looked them up! This is exactly what I wanted! Larger tips in black and they have those...perfect!!!

I was hoping for CF since I couldn't find black but this is better. Thanks man!

I will for sure. I am buying them right now. The only thing stopping me from buying black tips before was they were stock, painted black for $450 an iND. These are $500, but 90MM and black, which is what I wanted. With valves open, the exhaust sounds great, with these tips, it is all I need....thinking about having my muffler painted black to match (not sure about that yet)

I also found this exhaust by Magnaflow. I am sure it is much cheaper then all other systems and I would only buy this for looks. It's not bad...all black.

I also posted a pic of the other tips I was thinking about (black stock tips) that I am now passing on since I found these Vors. tips.

I just had mine powder coated gloss black as I do like the sound of the stock exhaust with unplugging the valve control to stay open.

I paid $80 for the paint work and they look great!

90 mm with the straight cut is gonna look badass.
A reasonably priced(<$1000) diffuser would also be nice.

I considered that, but I was worried about the paint coming off from the heat. Can you post a few pictures?

I love the black, just wanted larger tips and now that I know Vors. has them...I am buying those, yes its $500, but I think it will make the back end look a lot better and I am saving like 4-5K not buying a full exhaust.

I agree with valves open it sounds badass...best decision I've made to do that!

I agree. I think sometime in the next 6 months I will get the CF diffuser...if they make one in black I would buy that to keep it flush, but since I got the CF trunk spoiler, I need to stick with CF on the diffuser..I think the black tips will look good with the CF diffuser. What do you think? Obviously those exact tips in CF would look cool, but I don't think it would contrast as well with both CF, so having the Black/CF would be nice.

I saw BMW was selling the M perf CF diffuser for $975. That is my favorite. Vert and Akro both sell theirs for 1200-1800 which is way too much for that...

I like the M perf diffuser. Will look good with black or regular tips. I might go with non-black to contrast it. My front grills are not blacked out.

So that link you provided says they are sold individually. Please tell me they're not $275 per tip. It's $275 for the set of 4 right? I'd also like to see what part of the m-performance sound is coming from these resonator tips.

No, I just confirmed it is for the entire set of 4.

The stock tips in black are $455 for all 4 an iND but someone sent me something a little better today. $495 for all 4 black diamond Vorsteiner tips (90MM diameter) which is larger and looks aftermarket. I love these. I am going with these for sure.

Nice, so these bolt on? Are they resonator tips like m-perf? Can't see inside them in the pics at the link.

Yes, they are bolt on, they replace the stock tips and fit perfect. Here is a picture I found on a car that has those exact tips.

The M Performance Carbon fiber tips are $275 EACH ($1,100 for a set of 4), and they will not attach to the stock exhaust without modification.

Starting to think a spray can will work for me fine. Maybe a quote from a local powder coating company. Leaving a chrome ring on the outer edge to match the roundel.
