JB4 question

for those of you with JB4 when installing the tune and setting up the maps, do I have reset the map every time I turn on the car, or does it remember it, and what about if I disconnect the battery do I have to reset it again ?

plus did anyone install the USB wire into the glovebox ? I saw the DIY on N54tech but Im not sure if its the same on our cars if anyone has a step by step for our cars would be much appreciated

it remembers the last selected settings.

No real advantage to having the USB routed into the cabin, for the rare occasions you will need to datalog etc... just route through the window

JB4 remembers last settings regardless of whether battery is disconnected.

I datalog constantly and routed the USB cable through to the glovebox. It's pretty easy to do, drop the panel underneath the glove box for better access. I believe there's a DIY for the F30 which is essentially the same thing.

Thanks guys, I was also reading the instructions how many of you have connected the EWG cause it says that you shouldnt do it on some cars but it does net more power when running on map 7, realistically the highest fuel I will be using on this car is 103 octane since its the easiest to get for me so should I be looking into this ?

^ Biggie just be careful with fuel rating. European octane ratings are different than US octane ratings because we use a different calculation for octane. I dont know how it is in Kuwait.

103 US is equivalent to 110 European so dont go running race gas maps on your 103 octane if in fact your octane is measured using European standards.
