I believe most of these threads are just trying to say how much better F8x is than F9x... You know... it has so much potential because it's I6 with turbos. HA!

Either way, pretty cool.

Doesn't look like they mentioned it. Further testing on my car noted that the DCT clutch can hold about 600wtq with no problems for two pulls before it starts to slip (from dead cold). So you won't see the problem arise on a dyno unless you keep running it over and over. Real-world would have better-telling results.

It was the first thing that crossed my mind after ready it as well. Is there even an aftermarket for an F8x clutch if it didn't hold?

I don't believe yet; more then likely, will be a clutch upgrade for DTC first... there are more of them on the road.

DCT upgrades have been in limbo since the introduction of the DCT on BMW's. I doubt we will see a solution soon but with the F8X platforms hopefully more shops will take notice and push development further.

Yeah the thread title should just be Pure Turbo's new numbers, but you get it as soon as you open it that this is not just a JB4 number.

Someone needs to just make a flange kit to hang two ball bearing GT35R's off this thing for a grand each and go to town. I love the work they're doing at pure, and the stock outward appearance of the turbos has "other" benefits, but $5k to upgrade stock turbos starts to feel a bit off when bigger better turbos are $1k to $1500 each.

Once the ecu can be flashed and all the parameters modified I can definitely see a single turbo version come out for the f80, but since the software is still in limbo the hardware will be as well.

Also yes it was 100 + meth but Terry mentioned that it was overkill and was there to make sure it was safe, further tuning will determine how much is needed in all reality it may just be 100 or strong e85 mix

There is an interesting dyno comparison. The M4 w/ pure turbos, race gas, etc, with the factory tuning vs. the same car with the JB4 enabled. 200whp gains with tuning lol.
