CF Trunk Spoiler / Paint Matched on BSM M4

Hello everyone,

I received my black sapphire metallic M4 Coupe a little over a month ago and have been adding on small mods as I find them.

This is what I have so far:

Dinan stage 1 tune

DCT CF console trim

CF DCT shift knob

Paint Matched front bumper reflectors

Paint Matched rear bumper reflectors

Clear/White Front turn signal bulbs (orange was killing me)

2 small easy things:

Valve Mod (leaving flap open at all times)

Window tint 20% all around

Now I know I really want the M perf. trunk spoiler as I love the design, but I cannot decide if I want this in CF as it comes, or to get it paint matched. What do you guys think? I have seen the CF version on two other black M4's on here and they look awesome, but it is also hard to tell because it looks black from the pictures. Do you think it would be a good contrast with the roof? Or go with paint matched?

It looks amazing CF on any other color since it has that two tone contrast look, but on black, it looks a little strange to me. I would love some opinions.

I like the way the CF spoiler looks with the rear CF diffuser. If you are not changing your duffuser out, I would say go for the painted spoiler. It will look good and be unique.

Thanks man! I am considering the CF diffuser, but also wanted to consider getting that painted as I like the 3 "fins" between the exhaust pipes, but then I would also need to get CF tips/gloss black tips as the stock tips aren't the best..

According to the Parts Manager at a local dealership the M-performance CF spoiler is out of stock nearly everywhere in the U.S. and would have to be ordered by them from Germany.

I suggest if you want the spoiler to act very quickly because there's a shortage of them out there, much like the M-performance diffuser.

In my opinion CF looks best on dark cars. Because it's subtle.

Sometimes on a white car it completely breaks the lines of the car and can look out of place at times.

No way I would paint a CF spoiler black for a black car. You won't notice it's CF until you are up close which I love. Then it's like, oh wow, that's actually carbon! I had no idea!

i always thought an AW car looks best with CF but apparently not? i have an AW car but my gf thinks it would look bad....

I love the cf spoiler on my mineral grey M4. Kind of blends in and is very subtle.

I would go with the spoiler and leave it in Carbon. I can get you a Mode Carbon Spoiler with 1x1 weave matching your roof (but no the other M performance parts if you decide to add) Let me know.

+1 Carbon spoiler looks great on MG, I think it would also look great on BSM

Another alternative is to get it wrapped in xpel stealth, and go matte for more of a contrast. SupremePower can get the parts and get it done for you at a good price

Thanks! Definitely something to consider. I am going to see how the CF looks first and then think about other options if necessary.

Already got it! Ordered it yesterday at 3pm and got it today! I have to figure out if I want to go buy tape and Do it myself or if I want to pay to have it done. Probably the latter as I'm a perfectionist.

Tape isn't included? Lol I thought it was pre-applied to the spoiler!

It is haha... I'm an idiot and noticed it on the bottom pre applied after I sent that post. It also had some 3M tape in the box
