JB4 with torque app

Has anyone with jb4 (stage 1) used the torque app with a bt dongle to get a boost reading? I have tried to get boost reading with jb4 on map 1 but for some reason it shows only 18 to 19 psi peak boost. I am pretty sure I am doing something wrong as i can feel the car pull much harder vs stock. Can someone with torque app shed some light in the boost settings that need to be in place for the correct measurement.

JB4 Should definitely be giving accurate boost pressure, and if you didn't get through at least a few thousand RPM's at WOT seeing 18-19 PSI peak is normal on Stage 1.

Isnt the stage one suppose to be 21-22 psi? Also with the jb4 would the ecu see register the higher boost or would it still show stock boost if i tap into the boost channel thru torque app?

Good point, if you don't have CAN setup through the JB4 you can't monitor boost, and no the car still thinks it is stock levels.

Awron display shows accurate boost readings:

We're using one currently with the JB4.

The DME will only see stock boost with a JB4 in place. You'd need the JB4 mobile software to monitor boost on an iPhone, Android, etc.

Gauges like the AWRON that have an external boost input can also monitor actual boost but be careful to disable any CAN features on these gauges OR only use the JB4 as Stage1 as both using the CANbus will prevent the JB4 from working properly.

Awron has gone through extensive JB4 testing and are fully compatible with each other.

We have both devices running perfectly on our shop M4.

Oh, OK, because I've had customers who reported issues but maybe it was a different gauge brand or already resolved. I'll defer to you on the gauge side of things.

Any new developments with the Awron and JB4 compatibility issue? I just had JB4+ installed on my M4 which already had Awron hooked up. My JB4 has the new OBDII port connection... Do I need to be concerned with them not playing well together?

Hmmmm I just read another thread where you said it was not compatible?

Unfortunately, your Awron will not be compatible with the JB4, as it hijacks the OBD2 port.
Is it or isn't it?
