M Performance Exhaust vs Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust

Hi guys, I want to know what is your opinion about these two exhaust systems? Which one you prefer? Which one you think is better?

Here are links to videos:

M Performance

Akrapovic Evolution

I love the way the Akra looks. And it sounds better. But, neither sounds significantly better than the stock exhaust to warrant the cost. Unbelievable how expensive just for a little better sound.

I have the M Performance exhaust and it sounds great! I prefer it over the Akrapovic. The build quality on both is very good but I think the Akrapovic does have better looking piping (but you're not gonna see it after it's installed) but the M performance muffler looks pretty cool.

Akrapovic has far better quality and craftsmanship , but how you can justify spending more than 10% of your car cost on the exhaust. I can't

I don't agree. In my opinion build quality is very good on the M Performance. I do think the piping looks better on the Akra.

Pricing is relative, but i didn't pay anything near 10% of my cars value.

from videos the MPE sounds better, I'll hold final judgement until I hear IRL. BTW if you have any of those exhaust your neighbors must really hate you, with my stock exhaust i get complaints that my car is too loud, and that is in efficient mode.

got today the MPE and I am blown away! Didnt expected that it is soo loud. Sound is in my opinion completly diffrent to the stock and realy realy sounds great. I am totally satisfied

problem with Akra is you need the evolution system and that is far more expensive than the MPE ...

That's what I was worried about. Does it change the quality tone of sound inside from a good way? B/c if it does not change it significantly, I'm staying stock and powder coating it. Hate to spend $5k for other people's enjoyement. Call me selfish.

The MPE from outside sounds awesome. Sounds even better under load and not free revving.

I have to believe that some of that aural awesomeness makes its way into the cabin.

Man, all these clips of the MPE makes me want to put it on the second the car comes in.

its definitly 90% for others people enjoyment in the inside there is a little bit more drone and its deeper in my opinion. I always drive with windows down doesnt matter how cold it is

Thanks. I figured as much. Every time I hear an interior clip I could barely hear it. I think BMW needs to tweak the ASD to make it quiter or change the tone. I think I'm going to pass on this current MPE and wait on the Competition package. That should be somewhere in between the stock and the MPE.

The MPE sounds bad ass from the outside.

Here is video that shows sound from inside with MPE. I think there is no difference. Or maybe LukasAT will undeceive us.

With Akrapovic, there is considerable difference of sound inside. I found it here.
