F80 M3 Muffler Delete
Please wear headphones for the full experience. *For more videos and better quality send me an email or phone number so I can send some more videos directly....*
Simply cut the muffler from where BMW has indicated with dimples, and replaced it with 2.5' stainless steel going into 3.5' tips. Parts and labor would be around $550.

Dear God. Golf owners doing this I can understand, but a $80k M3 owner I just don't get it???
Why not spray paint your wheels gold yourself to. That would be cheaper than buying a set of bronze finish ADVs or HREs |

Down pipes, muffler deletes, slammed suspension are very popular with some of the members of this forum. Not my cup of tea and certainly not what I want from my M4. Different people have different tastes.

Really though, do your car justice and invest a a proven high quality system. There's many choices out there. Don't learn down that line the hard way to do a mod the right way or not at all... Same could be said for cheap cast wheels, made in china coilovers, etc. Hack job muffler deletes completely ruin the class of the car. |

Home made TPG without all the fancy V Bands. How is this much different then the famous E9X muffler mod? Were all those guys with $70K cars allowed to be like golf owners?
There's not a whole lot of choices for exhausts for this platform. I haven't found one worthy of my money especially considering the prices they're asking for the early adopters. I'd rather hack my exhaust then buy anything on the market right now. The wait continues. |

I'd rather NOT hack my exhaust while the wait continues.

In general, I've noticed the ownership base of the BMWS F-Series go significantly down-market.

All the axle backs out now require "hacking" off the stock muffler to clamp on the new systems...

This is no different than what happened to the E92. Welcome to the forums. Quote:

I think it sounds good. I don't understand all the hate on this forum, honestly. People are so stuck up and think they own a damn Ferrari. It's a 4 series on steroids. If an owner that paid 80K wants to paint it pink, or chop up the exhaust, it's his business. He paid for it, he owns it.
Not that it matters, but I 100% support anyone that goes out of the box and tries something different on the car. Doesn't matter if it's cheap or not. All these companies that are coming up with these exhausts don't cost more than 1K to make, yet they are selling them to us for 5K plus. Absolutely crazy. A lot of us have been curious as to how it will sound without a muffler... Cudos to OP for having guts to do it and post a video. Good Job man.

Lot's of douchey comments here. I had the OEM exhaust mod on my E90, not because I couldn't afford to drop 5K on an exhaust, but because I saw no value in doing so. If I heard this in person, and it appealed to me, I would do the same.

It sounds as good if not better I think than the so called "proven high quality systems" out there and best part is, for $550? No brainer, call me cheap or whatever you want but I'll never again throw away money like I have in the past buying all these expensive exhausts that do the same thing that the cheap ones do, I learned my lesson.

If you're really cheap towards an exhaust, like myself, and maybe want to retain stock look you can always cut off the highlights pipe below...... but of course make sure the valve is stuck open. If it still sounds like shit replace the stock resonator. I'm thinking that little bit of pipe going through the muffler is what makes it sound so shitty stock form.
