Anyone making a 3" DP w/ 3" exhaust system?

Seems like all exhaust systems are 2.5". Anyone making a turbo-back 3" exhaust?

I think TPG and their race exhaust is your answer. Think they said it was 3" all the way and out to 3.5" for the tips.

Thanks, but that's more of a straight pipe. I'm hoping they'll produce something similar with mufflers and resonators.

From what they have been saying is that they will. An exhaust with mufflers in the second half, as well as a full bolt on cat back in the future as well.

Just buy theirs and add your own resonators?

I agree. If you're trying to go for a full 3" doing it yourself is probably the best and most cost effective way to go about it. Mandrel piping, muffler and tips.

But to be honest, I don't think it's really worth it in terms of trying to get some better performance numbers. Unless you're planning on going for upgraded turbos and aggressive tuning.

I'm not looking to build my own. I'm looking for an engineered solution, as silly as it might sound. 400+ whp will react well to larger 3" piping. The best turbo exhaust is no exhaust. So I think it makes sense to open it up as much as possible.

Garage List
Our downpipes are 3" and will merge into either a single 3.5" or two 2.5" depending on clearance.

I like the idea of a single 3.5" since you save about 40-45lbs over the stock exhaust system.

Why not? There's plenty of great shops in your area that will build a custom, mandrel bent, stainless setup that'll be exactly what you want and most def cheaper.

Remember that there are two turbos with separate exhausts.

200whp per turbo doesn't need a 3" exhaust. You likely won't see much benefit of 3" over 2.5" until you are closer to 300whp per turbo.

You're probably right.. I have to go talk to Mike @ Maximum PSI. Perhaps he'll build a full turbo-back 3" exhaust for me.
