Which exhaust?

It seems there's now Eisenmann and Akrapovic now available.

Can anyone enlighten me which other brands are reputable and high quality? I'm looking for a crisp "natural" formula like sound. I thought that the stock exhaust resonates unpleasingly (not crisp but like a crappy distorted bass on a cheap stereo... Lots of drone!) at times.

Good point. That one is the cleanest. All other I've seen so far have some weirdness to them especially when letting off the gas in high revs.

Anyone heard RPi yet?

MPE sounds the best to me, but I'm not breaking that kind of bread on an exhaust. I think I'm going custom like a couple others are doing.

I waiting for TPG to release pricing on their exhaust. It's basically piping so I'm hoping it's cheap, but for some reason I have a feeling it's not going to be.

I just want to get rid of the stock drone and keep it tasteful. I find all of the exhaust fake and ghetto to some extent. Exhaust should not be about the decibels... Why doesn't anyone try to get closer to a Ferarri W12 or GT3 sound instead?

Eisenmann sound check video is on their website:

http://www.eisenmann-sportauspuff.de...ent_BMW_M4.php

It's not as clean as the MPE in my opinion.

I have the MPE and I think it sounds the best of the bunch so far. My second choice going from videos would be Eisenmann.

Remus has just released their axle back exhaust, as shown in the video. They also offer a race system.

There will be a straight cut and non-torched tip available as well.

definitely go to youtube and listen to the videos available (there are not too many), at least you get an idea what what it generally sounds like and then if you have a local person that has one, thats the best. Eisenmann, RPI, MPE, Akra are all very good systems, just a matter of personal taste.

Yeah totally. It's a shame no one has made a turbocharged I6 motor sound like a Ferrari W12 or Porsche's natually-aspirated flat-6.

I said 'closer to' because I think the current solutions on the market seem to be going 'further from' intentionally, because more people looking for aftermarket prefer loud ghetto exhaust instead of crisp racing exhaust.

So I guess that's my answer, most people like it that way
