Nice. I was going to do something similar! In for sound clips.

I always thought the dual in/dual out was configured like below but obviously not if yours is flowing fine. Maybe it's an X shape internally?

No I decided to cut my factory system, but can easily make it a bolt on for a little more money.

Cool, I would not want my stock pipes cut. Now all that's left is get them videos on here. I hope it sounds deeper than most of systems so far.

This is a custom exhaust meaning basically homemade.

Yes this is s custom system. The Magnaflow bolt on system will also incorporate the valve system.

If you look closely at the photo you can see the two valves on the outer most pipes

The retail system will have valves. Mine has the valves, which after much work, actually function. They were stiff to begin with but loosened up over time with some silicon lubricant spray. They make the engine sound less aggressive at idle but if you floor it, the valves open and it's really grunty. Also, the valves almost eliminated any drone on the freeway in 7th gear. I'm happy with my magnaflow, if only they had done my pipes up black.

Removing the resonator and 2nd cats, made it sound SO much beefier. I only had mild, and i mean mild drone under 2000rpm but no drone elsewhere. I will be doing some more experimenting when i get the car back. I'll be talking with the Magnaflow guys on Weds and see if my crazy ideas might work.
