JB4 S55 v3.6 Map Changing & Map Guide
Hey guys,
BMS has revised the JB4 S55 map switching to allow you to select various maps right from the drivers seat. This quick video shows you the process and below it is the current JB4 S55 map list. You can go from mild to wild and back again in seconds. JB4_S55 Map Guide as of v3.6 Firmware: Map 0: Disable JB4 / Full Pass Through Mode Map 1: Stage1 map adding approximately 40whp and 40wtq across the power band on pump gas. Suitable for all stages and fuel mixtures. Map 2: Slightly more aggressive version of map 1 intended for vehicles with exhaust modifications and 93+ octane fuel. Can also be used with E85 and racing fuel mixtures. Requires Stage2. Map 3: Slightly less aggressive version of map 1 intended for vehicles running on lower grade fuels such as 91 octane. Requires Stage2. Map 4: OEM performance but with JB4 active for datalogging only. Map 5: //M low torque (evaluation) map. Map 6: Custom tuning map. Map 7: Race gas map. Requires 100 octane unleaded fuel and for the fuel mass connector to be installed. Can be used with or without the EWG connectors but will make more power with the EWG connectors installed. This map can also be used with up to 35% E85 but in some vehicles & conditions this may cause a high fuel pressure drop and resulting stuttering. If this occurs drop down to map 2. Map 8: Methanol Injection map: Coming soon! |

With manuals the map changing works the same way except there is no flashing light feedback. So you need to count the clicks. At some point BMS is hoping to get the full dash integration going like the N54. Which would make things a lot more universal.

Would be great to get the full dash hijacking. I'm really just surprised the lighting on the shift knob isnt similar to the DCT wiring.

Is the OBDII port still functional with the JB4 installed? If not, is there any possibility for this in the future? I ask because I like to log OBDII data using Harry's Laptimer and a wireless OBD dongle at the track.
Also wanted to mention that it's great to see such active development on the JB4! |

I'll have to check and see if Harry's Laptimer can support logging with the JB4 bluetooth module, it might be able to actually as long as the iPhone can connect to it. Thanks for the info as well.

While available, the person that makes them is operating at about 90 days out and has paused any purchases until he catches up on orders as per n54t
