Shift Sector F80 Half Mile Videos

BMS was out racing their JB4 M3 yesterday and it looks like they had a blast. They reported a best of 156mph including this nice win over an ECU Tuning Group tuned M4. I'll add in some more event videos to this thread as I see them posted!

The bms m3 looks to be running strong for tune only, it must have been a blast to drive at the event.

any races against SC e9xM cars?

I would be curious to see how it stacks up seeing that I am coming form a couple SC M3's

Here is a video of a JB4 M3 racing an aggressively tuned fully exhaust M5 from a dig.

Hey Jimmy, unfortunately there wasn't a strong presence of supercharged e92's at the event. I think I saw one Gintani S/C M3 but from what I remember it was trapping low.

I will be at the NoFlyZone event in three weeks and there will be plenty of modded M4's for me to run to do a comparison against, including Terry's car.

From what I remember the JB4 customer tuned M4's this weekend were trapping anywhere between 145-153mph. So a little less than what the stage 2 (intercooled) blown e92's put down.

BMS told me a customer JB4 tuned M4 was running 156mph traps Sunday. The crazy thing was he was only using map 2 + E30. BMS was using map 7 + race gas mix to hit their 156mph. I guess the M4 must be a good bit lighter and/or aerodynamic than the M3.

I heard another JB4 M3 + DP customer Saturday was running slow all day. They were logging a run and found it had major timing pull even on lower boost maps. Concluded he got some bad race gas somehow.

If anyone here was at the event be sure to share some videos! I'd love to see a video of a good running JB4 against a stock tune car.

What do supercharged E90 M3s normally run? 160mph? The F80s are not too far behind especially considering they are tune only.

There's my F80 in the picture!

Yes, my car was pulling timing with the MS109.. I think I'm going to run straight 100 at the Nov 15 event..

I've ran straight VP 100 at the race track on Map 1 and it pulled harder then it did on Saturday.

BTW, I ran a ESS E90 (I'm not sure what stage it was) it was pretty even.

As a point of comparison, the two white 458s there (one stock coupe, another spyder with minor bolt-ons) were doing 152-153 MPH.

These cars are very impressive with just a JB4 and fuel.

pulling timing with ms 109? Doesn't that indicate the tune is trying to get too much out of the setup?

If you read mike@n54tech's previous post he says that the ms109 may have been the issue, other jb4 tuned cars were fine running 100 octane or e85 mixes.

Oh you are right Mike it looks like Nick's car later turned a high 156 That's better than most blown e92 M3's! From what I recall they were generally in the low to mid 150's trap.

I believe the EAS e92 ESS 625 car did a 162 trap at the last Shift Sector event but Terry and Nicks car are now on its heels.

Great work from Terry so far and I'm sure they will keep improving.

Can't wait to run these guys at NFZ in three weeks it should make for good races.

Looks like the turbo upgrade will be needed to bring the s55 up to par with the tuned s63tu, supercharged s65 and single turbo n54.

But that's some good company !!
