F80 M3 and Jaguar XF- RS

Parked next to this today, looks big compared to the F80.... Nice car though.

I always thought of it as a 5 series competitor not a 3, see one at my work often, they do look big.

It is a 5 series comp the new XE is the 3 series comp.

XF definitely hefty

BMW E39 M5 = 188" length
BMW F80 M3 = 184" length
BMW E30 M3 = 171" length

Oh how the m3 has grown hefty as well!

Weight is the issue here, XF-RS weighs almost 2 tonnes. F80 has managed to remain light in comparison despite it's growth in size.

Despite it's 120 hp power advantage Jag and BMW quote the same standing Km time for these cars.

Right. The competitor of the 3 series is the recently presented Jaguar XE.

Just to be clear- I never said it was a F30 or 80 competitor, I just parked next to it, took a pic and commented on it's size!
