Weird loss of power issue
I dropped of my 2011 DCT...the famous contaminated brake booster sensor limp mode situation. Right before I started getting the occasional limp mode from the brake booster sensor, my DCT would be acting a little funky at low RPMs in wife mode (D2). It would kind of delay and then slam down a gear as I came to a stop.
So dropped it off at the dealership, got it all fixed. Picked it up from the dealer and was driving back to work. So once it warmed up, I would start from a red light and it felt like it was in limp mode. No SES light or wanrning. Then after 10 seconds of having the pedal floored, then it accelerated like normal. No clunky or weird shifting. The engine wouldn't blip on downshifts in S/D4 also. I say its a DCT software problem. Any idea?

Scan it and see. Doesn't sound like a DCT issue to me. Sounds like a torque management / throttle / pedal or sensor issue.

OK, thanks. That probably makes more sense. Its back at the dealer anyway. Still milking that last 9 months of warranty! Just trying to get a read on what I can expect from the dealer.

Hopefully they sort it out quickly. There could also be an adaptation issue depending on what they did, or didn't do, during the scope of the repair.

Surprise...dealer can't replicate it. It will forever be a mystery!

I think I'll be OK. Just not fun when I'm puttering along in a 414hp car in the rush hour drag race home.
