I just took my car in for the 1200 mile service and had noticed an odd sound, and after bringing it up to the techs, they say its just a normal sound. But to me this seems abnormal, curious if anyone else has experienced this.
Seems to happen in any gear, any speed (as long as you have enough speed to keep moving) 100% of the time. The key is waiting for the rev match to stop after like 2 seconds. I actually haven't tried different engine modes, but it sounds like its coming from the tranny and only happens during clutch engagement, so I would imagine it's something in the transmission. How to make it happen: If you are cruising around 3k rpm, put the clutch in, wait for rev match to stop and engine rpms to drop to idle, then, while still moving and without any throttle input, slowly re-engage the clutch, letting the clutch engagement bring up the engine rpm (and slow the car a tad). As I'm doing the clutch engagment, I hear this weird sound, like a worn out bearing just while the engine rpms are rising. It goes away as soon as the clutch plates have matched rpms. Sorry my vernacular for describing this is weak. I can take a video too if that would help anyone. Anyone experience anything similar? Thanks!
