2011 DME swap possible to my 2012???

Hey just trying to come up with an alternative route to getting a back end flash for my un flashable 2012 dct 135i. To all the coding gurus out there; would it be possible to buy a used 135i DME off of a 2011 car and code it to work on my 2012 car so I could then do a "backend flash?" Also would I have to buy a DME that came off a DCT car or could I buy one off any 2011 135i? I know this is a shot in the dark but there looks to be a few available out there

If you can get a 2011 DME w/ paired CAS module and paired keys, you should be able to plug it all in. Do note, it will change your mileage and you will have a mileage tamper light in the guage cluster. its literally a small dot. It can be removed by resetting the gauge cluster. Also, you need to make sure if you have comfort access, that the car you are getting the electronics from also has CA keys.

I would not buy the EBAY auction you linked to. You need the other parts.
