Pre-existing tune: How to tell?
Hi all
I am a returning member. Used to have an alpine white FBO+METH 135i which sadly left unexpectedly last year. I have acquired another, in space grey this time. It seems to be stock apart from aFe intake and aftermarket exhaust. I just purchased another JB4 and am about to install but is there any way to tell if the car has an existing tune apart from dyno/seat of pants? I know with JB4 you can press both down arrows to access the menu. But what about other tunes? |

Get a BT cable and read DME flash with Bimm3rboost software?
Edit: why the hell is the name of the software bleeped? That's ridiculous.

JB4 steering wheel buttons can be shut off from the laptop so its not a 100% sure way to test.
That said its nice to use for dealer visits for light work like oil changes etc. Go to Map 0 & lock out the keys.
