Getting my dinan dct tune on Monday

Did some reading up but didn't find to much info if this is really worth it. It cost around 450 plus tax Canadian. Anyone on the forum get this done? And will I notice a difference. In S mode or D mode I get a jerk from 3 to 2nd. Hope this tune will eliminate this problem. Your feedback would be appriciated.

I have the Dinan one. I paid 350 here in NY and I personally love it. Shifts are super quick and very smooth. I had another vendors DCT tune before and switched to Dinan.

Interested in this too, let us know how it works out. I read it is just as good as the cheapo guys and its Dinan so if your DCT has problems in the future it has a lower probability of BMW trying to void out you coverage on the trans. Saving a couple hundred is no concern of mine, but saving my warranty is. Give us an update after you get er done!!

Sounds pricey. I would recommend the GTS DCT tune from Alex at Alpine MSS, it would be a lot less.

I got it from him, and S5 is a lot more aggressive and the downshifts are a bit smoother. Only downside is the car defaults to D2 now (I prefer D3).

You can't go wrong with the BPM Sport DCT tune. It is an unbelievable difference...

Pricey? We own 60k to 75k cars and $450 dollars is pricey??
I emailed Alex and he was unresponsive and I got the feeling I was bothering him with my questions, plus his price will only save you a couple hundred, who cares.I know he has allot of fans on here, but I would definitely go with a professional organization like DINAN instead of relying on one person. That's my .02 cents.

I was pleased with the customer service. I'm pretty sure I still have those PM's from him if you'd like to see. I'm not a "fan" of Alex because of what other people say. I'm a fan of his because his customer service exceeded well above what anyone could expect when dealing with a remote software tune.

I have personally dealt with Alex in the recent past and (without getting upset) and am shocked to see that some people received amazing customer service from him. It was the exact opposite for me x1000

What is the price from Alex for the DCT tune? Any contact info for him? I am considering a DCT tune as well as some coding. Will the tune help with 1>2 shifts (in D) when its somewhat clunky/jerky?

The jerk from 3-->2 and 2-->1 will be eliminated. You'll notice a difference with the software.........Phil
