520HP / 650nM Lightweight M4 (German Tuner)

Saw this on worldcarfans. Really happy to see that some one is making a simple splitter (copy of the M4 Concept car).

Not sure I believe the numbers, and the spoiler is hideous, but figure i'd post it for discussion.

Quote:
German tuner Lightweight has developed an upgrade kit for the BMW M4 Coupe.

The first order of business was to install a titanium exhaust system with valve control which has reduced the car's weight by an unspecified amount. There's also a front spoiler blade that can be optionally had in visible carbon fiber along with an adjustable rear wing made from the same lightweight material.

Stock wheels were replaced with a BBS 19-inch set wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires measuring 265/35/19 front & 285/35/19 rear. Other upgrades include a Bilstein Clubsport suspension package, beefier brakes and an optional stainless steel exhaust system also with valve control.
Lightweight also worked on the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo and bumped its output from the series 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) to 520 HP (382 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.

The standard BMW M4 starts at €72,200 in Germany and adding all the aforementioned tweaks will raise the price to €89,000. Lightweight says a new upgrade program is in the works and will come with a wide variety of goodies such as an adjustable front spoiler blade, carbon fiber diffuser, trunk spoiler lip, enclosed underbody, roll cage and bucket seats equipped with six-point harnesses.

So....you can increase the price of the car by 25% with a titanium exhaust system cutting "an unspecified amount of weight", a $700 tune, BBS wheels and pilot sport cup 2 tires in close-to-stock sizes, a brake kit, coilovers, some visual CF pieces...

By standard aftermarket prices, the kit is a decent deal. Without more specifications though or some sort of comparison, it's quite a lot of dough for marketing fluff so far....

Agreed those are both great!

I also really like the blacked out area above the vents in the rear bumper.

Sweet!

wheel fitment is spot-on. BBS Fi's really suit this car IMO.

Anyone else notice the "eye booger" covers on the headlights?? Reminds me of the 996 headlight debacle and the covers to "fix" the look lol...

Given the tuner's name, I can't help myself but to ask whether any weight saving measures were taken when building the car
