OEM Exhaust Mod + EAS Tips
Hey all, hope you're all doing well.
Just had a question for those who have lived with the OEM exhaust mod for a while in addition to maybe moving on to a full aftermarket upgrade, and those who have lived with the EAS tip upgrade. Is the OEM mod really worthwhile and is it noticeable? Any recommendations as to whether you should cover/replace the 2 larger pipes or all 4? I've read a lot of feedback but have recently been hearing feedback that covering the 4 pipes results in 'popping' when lifting off the accelerator - anybody else experienced this? I guess I'm trying to establish whether it is actually going to produce an exotic tone or whether it'll just end up being a nuisance, and whether it's worth just waiting and going for an AM like the Eisenmann Race. Also - anybody lived with the EAS black tip upgrade? How do they hold up over time? Appreciate any feedback guys

I replaced the 2 larger pipes. I like it because it's louder, and not too loud.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick but you really must have not searched if your current conclusion is questioning if the oem exhaust mod is worth it. It's not only the best bang for your buck but it makes the exhaust note sound great. No one can argue against it

I had all 4 done and I don't have any popping sounds that I can hear. In hindsight, the smaller sections are very small and they probably didn't make any difference. The mod does make a significant difference in volume but it is not "loud". The good thing about this mod is that there is no drone at all.

9 times out of 10 my exhuast makes a popping noise when i downshift with the DCT. personally i love the sound of the pop. in fact i wish it was 2x as loud.
I think the OEM mod is worth it. |

Thanks guys, appreciate the input. I have researched this thoroughly, but just hadn't seen many comments regarding the two vs four modification.
Appreciate all of the input!
