*Very* nicely done. Man, that's "Ferrari-esque". Why blur out the speedometer, though? Liability purposes?

I have the same set up and it's not loud at all. But the note is exotic and unique. I have it with BPM Stage II. Mine is a DD and the sound is non-intrusive.

Yeah just in case, but to be honest.
I don't think I went over the speed limit
due to traffic and I was near town.

Only the primary cats are removed. The standard secondary cats / resonators
in the x-pipe are still there. ZERO DRONE I went through 9 exhaust
set ups. Its' either too loud, quiet, droned, boring. But drone is definitely something I don't want.

Below 3k rpm, its very quiet and totally acceptable.
Mines daily. Above that, its mega as you can hear.

The Akra was ridiculous on the other hand, low rpm - its bassy (still no drone)
shakes houses and sets off alarm, but on the other scale.

Its less loud and sounds boring.

Wish I knew about this combo before. Didn't have to waste all the time and money on all the other combinations I've tried.

Only found 1 video on YouTube in 3 years.

Make it 2, now mine is up

That is an excellent sound - bonus if it doesn't drone at low RPM either.

Not that raspy at all IMO.
Sounds like a proper V8 with just enough bass without being boomy.

I can confirm there's no drone with this combination.
I've been through 8-9 exhausts. Definitely didn't want drone.

This is the best of both worlds.
I much prefer this over the Akra and any other exhausts I had before.

Sounds incredible.

This video and following replies in the thread go to show how subjective "loud" is. LOL

To me, sounds absolutely AWESOME. But is WAY too loud...

At 60 kmh and around 2k rpm it has the same drone as stock exhaust. The moment you pass that range it's all grin Seriously, it's a great set up. Best of both worlds.

Did your MPE crack or your stock X-pipe crack? Did you delete the primary cats on your X-pipe or no?

Thanks

Not if you drive it sensibily. Its almost stock like if you don't put your foot down.

Especially with the DCT D2, as it keeps it in low gear all the time.
30mph in 7th gear lol

Thats' my biggest worry. Mine's second hand, so no warranty.
But I love the sound so much. If anything happens, I'd be tempted to get another.

What's the sign of crack? Visually or acoustically?

Never heard it from the outside myself yet.
No ones drives my car.

Love it even more!!!

Don't worry too much about it cracking, mine has cracked pretty much everywhere it could after only 2-3months on the car, no warranty for me since I'm supercharged with test pipes(might have accelerated the process). So I bought some inconel rods and brought it to a good welding shop to make it repair, costed me around 400$ total and that includes lots of spare inconel in case anything happen again. It's been on the car for 6 months now and no sign of cracks anywhere!

Mine started to have some vibration noise at low RPM in first gear, that's how I discovered it was broken, at first I though it was a loose bolt or something but when we lifted the car there were some small cracks on every corner! I'd say this exhaust is totally worth it, no matter the price or the hassle!!

Exact same set up on my car. MPE now has 40,000 miles and 15,000 with Evolve test pipes and no issues (no drone).
It's perfectly quiet at low throttle openings and cruising on the freeway.

Depends what you call it but my car has the same noise that starts around 3,500 rpm up to about 3,800-4,000 rpm where there is a "rasp" or what others have called ripping canvas sound. It's loud but transient and requires probably more than 25% throttle opening (louder with more throttle). No regrets

Mama mia, really? Hopefully the signs are clear if it does happen.
Didn't know it was fixable though!? Thought that's the end
of it if you haven't got warranty! Thats' really good to hear! (well sorry about your case) but at least I know there might be hope to get it fixed if it happens!

Totally agree. Love it so much. Can do quiet just like standard,
but goes to the extreme if you want it to without any drawbacks.

If you want to know what the cracks look like, take a look at my old thread:

Rasp isn't bad at all. Just a hint of it.
The Akra was a lot more raspy and try one of the iPe exhaust for rasp. lol
