Angry Macht Shnell stage2 intake issue

Hi.I am having issues with installation of ms stage2 intake.I have watched the video several times on youtube. When I put the filter and filter attachment in, it does not line up with the elbow attachment. The filter does not even make contact with the spring in the airbox!

If I forcibly line the elbow attachment with the filter attachment and filter, the airbox cannot be closed because the filter inside is misaligned.

I was told that there are two types of airbox for the e92 m3.The supplier denies this information.

Is there 2 types of airboxes for this car?

Someone please help

'09+ models require an adapter, I believe.

Obviously make sure the filter is oriented correctly. Early models require and adapter but you can make one. Essentially the spring loaded nub in the fender side of the box that presses into the dimple on the top of the filter is too strong. Pull the box, pull the spring and push it back in by about 1/2 inch.

I don't completely follow your problem, but there is an adapter for their air filter.

The spring loaded nub supplied does not even touch the filter guys! The filter does not fit in the airbox.I have to force it in.

Maybe you have the filter the wrong way around.

all you have to do is remove the spring. That is what I did on my 2008 m3. Once you remove it you can install it and should all line up

Watch the video, it shows you how to remove the spring
