Servotronic software

Wondering if any vendor sells the Servotronic software as a standalone option?

Are BPM and ESS the only ones offering it and any reason why it has to be bundled with a tune. Car is a 2013 and not ready to do anything to the engine yet.

BPM has an online chat function on their site. Haven't used it, but seems like you could get an answer pretty quickly. I'm sure ESS has a phone number you could call, too.

Thanks Roman. However, I do not want to go the E-Flash route using the remote tuning too, for now.

BPM confirmed they can only offer it in conjunction with their performance tune

Might want to hit up Alex@alpine. He's got done pretty extensive coding options on the cheap if you're socal local.

Since it is a function of the DME software, the tune will have to be changed to alter the servotronic calibrations. At that point why not go with a tune rather than just modding a stock map for servo changes alone? It seems like a waste of money for a slight change, not to mention it also sounds like you're delaying the inevitable.

^ Lol. Ya you could say that. Only reason I don't want a tune is the 2 dealers I go to here are known to raise a lot of red flags if you go in for warranty work but have a tune. Granted that's if they realize the car is tuned.

But it makes sense now what you are saying about the DME and why these vendors combine it with their tune.

Honestly speaking the only thing that bothers me about the M3 right now is the steering feel at the lower speeds. I was hoping for the same feedbac/feel as my older e39/e46.

Used to own an E46 (also own E36 M3), and drove a friends E39 M5 a bunch of times, and the Servo tune brings the E9x much closer to them. Still not as heavy, but very enjoyable IMO.
