Order restrictions due to availability

Just heard from one of the ED specialists that there are some order restrictions right now. Anyone else heard of this?

Looks like no 19's, no CCBs, and I can't tell if it is no full leather or just no full black leather.

Its probably no full leather, because a lot of the pieces are the same black leather panels in all interior colors.

The wheels should be easy to do later... I'm sure you can find people selling wheels on this forum.

Yep, I just checked the order guide. No full leather of any color and it looks like 18's available only. Damn...I was considering the full leather and 19s too but I guess it would save money to dodge those...

My car is not in production yet and I ordered the orange full leather and black wheels. Can someone with a early sept production date chime in on this please!

Good thing I put my order in two weeks ago. I'm scheduled for week 35. What's been the average that folks are seeing for arrival stateside (east coast) from the time the car enters production?

I was week 25, delivered on 7/29 so took about 6 weeks. Think mine started on 6/19.

mine is scheduled for week 39 delivery, that is September 22'ish, didn't hear anything from the dealer yet. as far as I know, the entire production cycle lasts about 6 weeks, i.e. from the date they tell you "make your bet, last call" until they eventually deliver it to you (that's the way it works in Switzerland: dealer calls me 1-2 days before "point of no return" day, configuration is confirmed and production starts).

I don't have a PRODUCTION date though, only the expected delivery date/week. I'll inform you here if there should be any delays, but I guess I'll only know in 2-3 weeks time earliest.

Same here... I ordered Mid July and was supposed to be week 32 build... However, that was last week and still nada. Nobody has any damn update. Getting frustrated.

I ordered on 3/2/14 - was supposed to go into production week 25/26 but was delayed due to CCB/Full Leather shortage. Now have confirmed week 39 - but who knows if it will just get delayed again based on the latest update shared this morning regarding part shortages. Are my build parts reserved based on initial order date? have a feeling the week my car is supposed to go into production (again) there will be another/different part shortage

I did at least change my color to Individual Option (TZ Blue) with the original delay...

Doesn't BMW typically shut its plant down for 2 weeks in August? I know last year BMW and Mercedes skipped their usual summer break due to demand. Many US automakers have said they won't curb production this summer due to the long winter. Wonder if that's also the case for BMW this year? Anyone have any insight? Anyone slated for production for week 33 or 34? Perhaps week 32 slipped into the break?

My car is currently in production in the body shop and is scheduled to be complete end of week or monday. So the line is not closed.

I just talked to a very experienced ED specialist and he has not heard anything about these limitations.

So it seems there is mixed info...weird... That or it differs between US and ED orders?
