Cayman GT4 to get 3.8TT - 450HP
With a tune and a few upgrades this thing should be a monster....

Highly suspect engine prediction. It's either a 4 banger turbo, or a 3.4-3.8L NA flat 6

I'd agree the 3.8TT engine addition would erode a bit of the prestige of the 911, but many outlets insist that is what is coming. If N/A, I would postulate a 3.6 or 3.8 as the 2012 Black series had the 3.4, and the GT4 will be positioned above it.

This car is at the top of my "mid-life" crisis sports car list. So I'm patiently waiting on the hard facts and a release date. Early 2016 is my target purchase...........Phil

Now you know the mid-life crisis car has to be a small two seat whip. I'll order the driving gloves and fanny pack once the car is in the garage .........Phil

No release date. Porsche hasn't even admitted it's existence. I would guess a MY16

Just saw this!
http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/sc...potted-testing I know it's just speculative, but I thought they wouldn't go FI until the next gen. Porsche have done 4 cylinders in the past (both NA & FI), so a 1.6 litre doesn't sound unfeasible. They may go all F1 on us! Last edited by Dionysus; 07-10-2014 at 10:26 AM.. |
