Attention grabber?

Hey guys,
Since a lot of new owners on board, curious if you are getting a lot of attention when you drive.

My 991 C4S cabrio got a ton more attention.

Lol is that supposed to be a good or bad thing? The GTR only gets attenion from car enthusiasts (almost exclusively dudes). Now of course this question depends a lot on the color. I once saw a 435i M Sport and it turned everyone's head including mine but I'm thinking it was mostly due to it having the LED headlights. Those LEDs look mean as fck

Quite a lot by people who know cars. I have yet to see another on the road so I guess not many people have seen the new Ms in the flesh!

Let me tell you that attention is good in the beginning (makes your feel special), but towards the end, you do get a bit worried. Hope it is not true for the M4. At least from my E46 M3 I remembered it did drawn attention when it first came out.

Why do you care. Of course it gonna get some attention initially it's brand new. It will be old hat before you know it.

The attention that you get will largely depend on where you live and what color you choose.

I still remember the first time I saw an E46 M3. It was awesome seeing it in person. I was in high school in those days and couldn't afford one.

To the average person, a BMW is a BMW is a BMW. An M4 may as well be a 328i unless you have it cosmetically modified. You'll get attention from enthusiasts, though.

Good grief, he's clearly excited about the car and curious as to whether he'll be fielding questions about it. No need to give him a hard time.

I think there is some truth to this, BUT the car enthusiast will always know what you're driving. You could be in a black-on-black-on-black-on-black-on-black-on-black ///M3 with tinted windows and an enthusiast will still spot/recognize you going the opposite direction on the freeway. We just tune into these things.

I actually agree. I live in DC and M3s are not as common as Civics, but more common than let's say Passats.

I couldn't agree more. Though I don't look at the catching the eye of the occasional enthusiast as making for an attention-grabbing car.

A pastel colored lambo will turn just about every head (non-enthusiasts included), just about anywhere. That's what I think of when I hear attention-grabbing.

People have noticed the car in so cal. Couple cars try to pull on me on the freeway but see no point. Even the car. The car is still fairly new

Man... Imagine waking up in the morning at one of Sabine Schmidt hotels with 20 M3s and M4s in the parking lot with a couple Gt3s, 1Ms and an Audi R8 mixed in, then going to Spa to race all day with the track to ourselves for 2 hours then driving on the autobahn together at unrestricted speeds to arrive at castle... and the next day you're attacking the Nordshcleife... dream come true! I highly doubt anybody has had a bigger euro delivery experience than we did

Once you've owned and lived with an exotic and have experienced real attention, questions like this become irrelevant for "normal" cars. Non-exotics may get looks here and there. Ultimately, the attention level for a clean and new Euro luxury car is a 2.5-3.5 whereas a true attention-grabber exotic is an 11.

I'm betting most exotic owners will buy the F8x to fly under the radar.

nothing on my end yet. The only thing that is getting noticed is me realizing how hard it is to keep my BS m4 clean

then again I have yet to drive it anywhere besides in town and I live in a super small town
