NEW N54Tuning Performance Line - N55 Catless Downpipes - ONLY $289.00 - In Stock!!!
Introducing the NEW N54Tuning Performance line of products..
Gain up to 20hp and 30tq to the wheels! I am happy to announce a new addition to our tuning line. N55 Catless 3.5" Downpipes. Its taken a while to get these to market, but we wanted to get the perfect affordable pipe out there. We didn't want the low price to compromise on quality and performance so these were designed with several important features 1) High quality SS Construction 2) Smooth Transitions 3) High Quality non-polished welds Not only does removing the factory downpipe eliminate a huge exhaust restriction allowing more power but it also provides a deeper and more exotic exhaust tone. Average gains are 15-20hp and 20-30tq to the wheels with the additional benefit of reduced turbo lag. This 3.5" catless downpipe features CNC flanges and stainless steel construction for long life. Required hardware is included and the average install time is 1-2hrs. Fits BMW N55 "Twin Power" Turbo 2011+ Does not fit F30 Chassis http://www.n54tuning.com/index.php?_...&productId=164 FREE SHIPPING FOR LIMITED TIME |

Hi Mike.
How's the quality and ease of install on these? Similar to competing N55 DP's such as AR,CPE, BMS, or VRSF? How many have you sold so far, and how's the feedback? Will Cobb AP3 custom tune take care of CEL errors?

I just finished installing my N54tuning "Performance Line" N55 downpipe, and loading my custom map produced by Dzenno at ProTuningFreaks. This is on a N55-based 2011 135i, using my Cobb AccessPort V3.
I went for a test drive yesterday evening, in -15*C weather and dry pavement. My god, this car is getting scary! Car is on skinny 205/50R17 winter tires, and I could spin the tires in 4th gear with my Quaife 3.46 LSD! Will post "SAE adjusted" virtual dyno results when weather permits, but before the custom stage 2 tune, I was at about 305WHP and 375ft-lbs of torque. Once the weather gets warm, and Im back on my 255/35R18 ZII's, I will log 3rd gear hard pulls, and send the results to Dzenno to make sure that everything is right, and every ounce of performance is squeezed out (all this is free of charge once you buy a custom tune from PTF). The sound produced by my catless downpipe and stock exhaust is borderline embarassing during cold starts, but tones down to nice exotic sound after 40 seconds. The sound is growing on me, but I might still get Vibrant Performance resonators installed, to deepen the tone. What is surprising is that I can hardly hear anything different in the cabin under normal driving conditions, and no drone on the highway at all. Under partial/full throttle, a nice exotic sound is produced, and a big howl is generated from the turbo and downpipe area, which floods out the exhaust note completely. I think I will leave the exhaust system as is for now, as the idle sound during cold starts is my only annoyance, and is a minor inconvenience. The exhaust note sounds nice and agressive only when you get on it. What more can I ask for, from my otherwise stock exhaust system! Great job by Dzenno @ PTF with his ongoing support, and quick update to my custom tune (now at stage 2 agressive 94 Octane), and a very affordable N55 "Performance Line" downpipe and great service from Mike @ N54tuning, as allways!
