Nah, sunroof is a must if only to better hear the exhaust.

Roll windows down if you need to...M5 should have the carbon roof.

No, it shouldn't. It's called an option for a reason.

Me, too.

That said, I can imagine how much faster my car would be without the sunroof--just imaging having saved all that weight... it's not like our cars have 600+ HP to offset it... oh, wait, they do.

To each their own.

Get the executive package. No on the sunroof, the carbon fiber roof looks great.

Carbon all the way. Its probably at least a $2K option if it was stand alone. Plus the extra headroom for your helmet for track days.

Not once did I say get the CF roof for weight savings and quicker 1/4 mile time. Check your facts. I said it looks great and belongs on the M5. You have a different opinion...fine. But don't try to put words in my mouth regarding the basis for why I prefer the CF roof.

I don't care what you said or justified or on what aspect you disagree with me or anyone else, I just don't like opinions cited as absolutes... so stop it. Or get used to my replies.

What absolute did I say? You're an idiot. Read my comments above before spouting crap to me. I said Executive, B&W and Full Leather are a "must" on a car of this price point. I said the M5 "should" have a CF roof.

You then responded that a sunroof is a "MUST" so you can see the sky and hear the exhaust. If anything, you are spouting the absolute with your "MUST" comment on the sunroof...which again, I did not say in regards to the CF. It's annoying debating people that don't read.

I'm not a sunroof guy. I've had one in most of the cars that I've had and I may have used it once right before I immediately closed it. Definitely like the carbon and I'd also like some additional clearance for my track helmet.

Yup. Understood. Each to their own.

Mine's open right now while the car drives itself in 20mph traffic--mobile office with a partial convertible.

I'm 6ft and tried my crash helmet on day 3 of having the car. It was tight so I rolled back the interior cover... et voila. Of course, if you're taller than me and still resemble a curious dog even with the cover back, then I think the sky's the limit is a fair explanation.

So from the outside I think the CF roof looks much better albeit kinda dark inside.I prefer the light that comes in from the sun roof. For me the light wins out

Exec package has some great items. Can't imagine equipping a new M5 without one. Got it on my X5M and my previous F10 M5.

On the lighter colors, I can understand that. I have SG and I doubt I could tell from the top (well, obviously I could close-up but in the overall visual). It's the same for the rear diffuser and lip-spoiler, on SG, they simply blend in.

I agree with limey, the car is too expensive to be stingy on that package anyway. It's cheaper than the ceramic brakes I'm putting in

Gorgeous car btw!
