If it is not a requirement, I would get the ATM intercooler which should be good with stock or upgraded turbo ( http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1069879 ) or if cutting a lot wasn't an issue and I was Ps2 I would consider the monster VRSF intercooler because the iat reduction is awesome ( http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...612#post520612 ). |

Looks like Active Autowerke is having a sale on their intercooler -- $429 before shipping. I believe that has factory connectors, and only requires two small cuts for installation. Might be worth considering.

Wait a minute. Hold up. So with your custom tune and near stock car, you're boosting over 20psi on a stock Turbo? Wow...wonder how that feels....I rarely hit 14psi on map 5 with e30-50

Nice. Curious to hear impressions. My AA intercooler is coming today, but it'll be a week or two before I'm able to install it. Can't wait to see the dyno, by the way. We have nearly identical setups and both on a 93 oct Wedge tune. Would love to see 340/400 to the wheels, but I'm guessing that might be optimistic.

They may need to trim. Did you tell them that or show them an install guide? Did VRSF provide an install guide?
It's so pretty and monstrous though

no instructions, no washers, the charge pipe looks wrong, the silicone pipe hit the fan shroud, the intercooler will not sit back far enough to clear. Shop watched multiple vids and read post , they just said nothing looks right

Sounds like you need a new shop... They probably need to trim the bumper and it sounds like they have the CP on backwards.

Sounds like the shop you went to has never installed an intercooler on an n55. As long as the shop you go to has installed one in the past, you should be fine.
