Has anyone updated their brake lines to stainless steel?

I bought a set but have not installed them. Maybe when I flush the brakes later this year or next year. I am at 40k miles but bought the car CPO with 24k about 18 months ago. I would not expect any noticeable changes at this age and mileage.

I took my buddy's M3 for a session after he did the job and noticed a difference from before. He has Spiegler's, but I don't see those for the F90

I bought goodridge from tire rack for $118. I doubt there is any functional difference among all the brands. Maybe quality, such as zinc plated vs stainless ends.

Installed two pairs for a client, first pair was Goodrich from TR, the lines were clear braided, after 10k miles they turned yellow, and at 15k miles I couldn't remove the rears without risking the hard lines on the subframe.
Second set did ECS branded lines, so far so good. It's a huge improvement if you find yourself on the track or doing routine'd "spirited" driving during your daily commute lol. At higher temps, the OEM lines begin to expand and you'll immediately feel the pedal becoming softer to press. |

Then ya I would definitely recommend. I had them on my AMG and never noticed a difference for daily driving. But I'm sure on the track it'll help

I am going to install my Goodridge soon. They have a lifetime warranty. The ones I bought from Tire Rack have the clear plastic covering over the braided hose and this will cloud up over time, but does not affect performance. For a little more money you can order Goodridge from the UK with colored plastic sleeves over the braid.
I have put braided lines on a few cars and never noticed any difference compared to good working condition stock lines, but my driving is street driving. |

ECS, Goodridge, and turner all seem to use zinc coating for the banjo fittings. Only stainless fittings I have found is by HEL. Same price as the ECS and Turner. Prefer the peace of mind of stainless. And you can get them in multiple color options.

Haha sorry. Y’all posting about it got me curious and I’m a stickler for stainless due to all the wood work I do around my house. I can’t stand rust and corrosion. 316 if I can. 304 at a minimum.

It’s rarely in the elements so I think I’ll be fine. Something I will for sure be keeping a look out for.
