Wow the M5 interior I always wanted
I wonder how many will be made overall and how difficult it'll be to find at msrp. Hood is interesting but the rest is just perfect

A few observations I took away from the first post...
No optional B&W audio? Ceramic controls for a US-spec M5! No steering wheel heating based on the interior pics. Paint options are limited to three choices— two being frozen. Mentions “Sport Exhaust” with stainless tips, so it’s not the titanium M performance exhaust. |

BMW should make the car special order only so market will not be flooded. I would have ordered one if I did not have a car that finished production yesterday, the ride is not too rough and the seats are tolerable for daily driving. The price a not bad for what you get.

Looks awesome! The last 2 CS models they've released (this and M2 CS) have been on point.
Anyone know what the actual curb weight will be with the 230lb reduction? If it's at 4,000 flat it's only like 50lbs heavier than my M340xi

Thumbs down on this. I rather get a M5C, and fit it with the M Driver's package, carbon fiber bits, and ceramic brakes. This way you have all the good stuff without sacrificing livability like sound deadening etc. The front buckets on the M5 C are the best of both world while the M5 CS looks good for track days but not much else.
And I hate all that gold crap....such a Subaru touch! Yuck! |

So overall, can't say I hate it. Just still a bit of these JDM vibes we've been getting with the latest models. A bit too many badges and logos IMO. CS badges everywhere, M badges, ring logos, etc. Red accent seats, green paint, gold wheels, yellow DRL. A bit out there but not too bad.
On the car itself, an utter beast. 230lbs gutted out from I don't know where, incredible interior, clean exterior. Well done, BMW. Now move the same team that did this back to the M3 please.

Perhaps that is his point - if CS is supposed to signal a track weapon...does this car even qualify? Do people track M5s? Does 200 pounds weight loss matter when the car weighs as much as the moon to begin with ?
I don’t see many M5s in real life, but when I do, they’re usually doing 10 under the speed limit.
