Just took delivery of my M5. So far during the short drive home, very impressed. The car doesn't feel as stiff as my F80 M3 but obviously not as plush as my G12 750. Can't wait to get through break in. [IMG][/IMG]

Nice car Source. Is that the standard rear spoiler? If so I assume it is a gloss black like the side mirrors and grill? Looks like another Donnington Grey. MBB and Donnington Grey seem to be the colors of choice.

Yes it's the standard spoiler in gloss black like the mirror caps. All of my BMW's have been black in the past and this time I was torn between DG and MBB.

Beautiful color! Congrats!
I put a few miles on mine today and I have to say I am falling in love. She feels like a more mature version of my F80. I really like the throttle programming, and the suspension calibration is pretty good too. I like that there is meaningful but not ridiculously excessive bandwidth between Comfort and Sport Plus. None of the suspension settings are so extreme as to be useless for the spring rates selected. |

Some additional pics for you guys. So here's a good question. Everyone who reviews the car particularly on YouTube talks about the OPF filter and how that makes the car sound like a dyson, no more cracks, pops and bangs. Doing more research, it looks like it's not the OPF but rather the tune the m5 has coming out of the factory to meet EU noise restrictions. My question is did they do this to the American cars or only cars for the EU market. I've really been trying to follow the break in so haven't pushed it at all since I may buy the car after my lease ends. The little I've pushed it sounds like there may be some bangs and pops but hard to tell how much of that is getting artificially pumped into the cabin vs. if that's coming from the exhaust. Really curious about this.
Man it's crazy how many NJ M5 LCIs we have. Would be so cool to meet up and do a drive. 2nd week of December could work for me whoever is planning. Have you guys swapped to winter tires and if so, what are y'all using and thoughts? I have my prirelli stroto 3s on which was my winter tire of choice since Michelin alpins were sold out. Happy with them they're soft, gushy and meaty but good grip. That being said can't wait to put my ps4s back on. |

Yup. Motegi. I wasn't sure about it for a while because it almost looked too nice - like this color is too pretty for this much performance. But it grew on me. The pics don't do it justice. It changes a lot with the ambient light - sun vs shade vs night. It's got some orange to it. After almost passing on it, now I can't imagine getting any other color.

Beautiful. have you seen or had a change to compare it to the old Sakhir Orange? I’ve not seen Motegi and I’m curious how dis/similar they are.
Pics seem to wash out Motegi but I’m guessing it’s a lot more vibrant in real life and sunlight. Agree? |

I haven't seen Sakhir Orange. Motegi is vibrant in bright light, for sure.

Agreed, plenty of us in NJ having just taken delivery within a few weeks of each other. I’ll create a thread in the regional forum and link here assuming weather agrees.

Took delivery of my F90 yesterday. I was admittedly BEAT when I got home with the turnaround drive to Baltimore.
Last pic is the F85 I turned back in. Told my brother when we got back to NJ I’m not sure I’ll miss the SUV too much.

Thanks bro, compared to the F10 M5 this is MUCH more driver oriented. I’d heard that before but MAN.

Agreed! As I mentioned elsewhere, this 4300lb car feels like it's more like 3500 and feels more consistent and as capable as my old F80!
