Has anybody considered M8 Comp wheels for F90??
As title states. Has anybody considered getting OEM Competition wheels from M8 for their F90 M5??
I think it should look pretty awesome when the car is lowered and spacers. Can anybody photoshop it?? |

The M8 has a track of 1627mm at the front and 1632mm at the rear.
The M5 is the same at the front but the rear is 1593mm, I don't think anyone has managed to fit 20mm spacers to the back of the M5 on stock wheels so I'm going to guess this won't really work. The F10 and F13 were much the same, the rear wheels from an M6 were way too aggressive for an M5.

The F90 and F92 will be 20mm difference in offset assuming that the rear axle is the same and they are achieving the track difference by using a different offset. But the F92 might have a unique rear axle - we don't know yet. If it has an axle which is unique and is wider so the offset is closer then the wheels might fit just fine. But I think if the axle is the same I think that 20mm will be too much!

correct, yes i ran stock tire sizing on the F10 using F13 wheels with no issues an no rubbing fully loaded.
If F92 is 20mm apart from F90 fitment then yes the rear will not work unless adding additional negative camber, front may work but even that will be a tight fit with few millimeters of poke past the fenders. |

My question with the M8 wheels is if the 813M and 811M are both forged (and in turn what the weights are). The press release talks about the 813M being forged but no mention of the 811M construction at all. 863M wheels are cool too. https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/maga...nce-parts.html

What if you put the rear wheel off the m5 up on the front as well. Most people like to space out their wheels anyway. With the rear being 1 inch wider that would be like putting a 12 mm spacer up front so now the wheel is out a bit more and you could run a square set-up on tires and rotate them. You could still put a 12 mm spacer out back to help keep the stance more balanced as well.

I realize this is a several month old thread but just curious if anyone here is actually interested in these rims.
I am looking to buy an M8 competition and it has these rims but I like the blacked out ones way better and am trying to swap them out. I could work out a good deal compared to what they are selling for online. https://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bm...13m_wheel_6460 |
