I can only comment on PPF, since I never had a ceramic coated car:

PPF will be easy to maintain thanks to its self healing capabilities, it's a lot more forgiving.
Any swirl marks from people rubbing against your car or a dirty towel can be removed by simply pouring hot water on the affected area (or leave it out in the sun lol) and it will become like new.
The only downside with PPF is you have to be careful when pressure washing. A powerful jet, at the right angle can lift your film. But that problem is easily avoided by simply being careful yourself, or warning the guys at the car wash
I haven't done this myself, but I heard good reviews from people who used a PPF specific coating such as Gtechniq Halo. Super easy to apply and it gives you the benefits of a ceramic coating (easier cleaning, water beading..)
