Michigan M3/M4 orders?

I was curious who else has there orders pending, and what status they are in? I just got my dealer confirmation that my order has just been bumped to 112, so only a matter of time now!!

My dealer told me my M3 is in production, but the website doesn't show that yet. European Delivery on July 1st.

I live in Waterford, have a M3 on the boat right now for delivery next month. Got it in black, manual trans (I'm a purist) and the 18" wheel package so the car has a prayer of surviving the Michigan roads. Looking forward to it.

Mine is supposed to be here mid July! I have a manual M3 on order in Alpine White with a carbon roof, 19 black accented wheels, and most the other goodies. I must admit I am probably more excited for this order than any of my previous orders thus far, well except perhaps my very first but it's definitely up there!

Picked up my BSM/SO M3 today. Car is amazing. While I haven't had the opportunity to do a full review like others here, I can say it was everything I was hoping for. I didn't get the full leather option and the interior is still great (coming from a subaru, so consider my perspective). The exhaust sounds great. I haven't had the luxury of beating on an M5 or M6, but I am more than pleased with the sound.
Seats are great. I love the SO. Anthracite wood trim is perfect (for me). I wasn't fond of all of the carbon fiber and wasn't feeling the aluminum blade.
6MT is great. Pedal feel is crisp and clean (again, consider my perspective).

We'll see if I can get some more seat time this weekend!

Pharm3, from what dealer? Did you get 18" wheels? Can you post some pics?

Car looks great pharm.

My SO M3 should be along sometime in August. Maybe we can do a meet or all attend a TSE event.

I plan on doing the Hooked On Driving event at Gingerman in August. Trying to get a few more events in there somewhere, but haven't finalized anything yet.

My car went into production last week. Getting pretty pumped.

On the down-side my E93 appears to have developed a major engine issue at 95k miles. It figures, right? If the engine is toast I might just push it to the curb and sell as is. I am driving a Prius C starting today so the F80 is going to be very welcome.

The nice thing is this rental is costing me $8/day. Who rents out a Prius for $240/mo, lol?

I saw two customer's M4's awaiting delivery at Erhard in Farmington Hills. One BSM and one MW. They both look great. If they are anyone's on this forum let me know, I'd be interested in a meet or something to see what they are all about before I trade in my beloved E92.

Having owned both now the F80 is a completely different animal. Think E92 as a newly caged lion with a appetite once let loose. Where as the F80 is more of a trained zoo lion, still a beast by nature, but gives off a bit more of a docile persona until you give a couple good whips to it...then you start seeing it must be handled cautiously just the same and maybe even more so as you might be mislead to let your guard down (I learned that today with traction off in the rain)

I picked up my manual-trans F80 M3 from Erhard on 7/7. Just had the 1200 mile service done. It's a great dealer. Good sales, good service. Car is awesome.

Here's the car. Simply put, it's the best car I've ever owned. I do miss my Z4 M Coupe, but I needed more doors.

Mich BMW M3 order HUGE delay

I ordered my M3 Apr 29 and it has YET to be placed into production - I've been told week 38 (mid Sep). My dealer said there is a delay b/c of the Lighting package (LED package)??!! Apparently, the issue is with the supplier and the demand was greater than BMW thought?? Not sure if this is true. Anybody else have this issue? Argh!!

My car has the LED lights and I don't think they caused any delay, but I had a similar experience with the wheels. My car had a September production date with (among other things) the 19" wheel package. I changed to 18" wheels and BAM, the car went into production a week late. I think EVERYONE is ordering the 19" wheels because it's all that was shown on the media cars. I just felt the 19" package wouldn't survive the cr@p Michigan roads.

One thing is for sure, BMW wasn't ready for the demand on this car, even with all the world anticipation. All suppliers are struggling to keep up.

Nice! Ours are essentially polar opposites. I share your feeling how terrific it is though
