usb charging issues for iphone in center console.

I have an iPhone 4 hooked up to the usb in the center console, and it now won't fully charge, it goes on and off, like its not getting enough voltage. Bad cable?

Could be. Someone else had issues bc the cable wasn't all the way plugged in, was kind of sticky. Check that too.

Swapped cables and starting working so hopefully it is that. I think the issue maybe long cables that slowly unwind and lose full connection.

I am having this same issue with my 4S. I've tried two different cables and it still rapidly connects and disconnects. Very frustrating!

Into the USB slot in the car yes. I had thought about that as well and checked but was just fine.
