Pentosin Coolant ok to use?

I just got a low coolant warning on my E90. I checkd the coolant and it looks to be really low. I don't see any leaks.

I was about to top it off with Preston I had sitting in the garage but then thought that BMW probably specifies some super duper expensive stuff. I looked online and sure enough they do.

I would prefer to buy some down the street from me.

Which coolants would be ok to use?
Pentosin?

The stealership is 20 minutes away and I am sure their special magical coolant is more expensive.

You need a low-silicate low-phosphate coolant: Pentosin Pentofrost NF or something that meets Glysantin G-48, like Zerox G-05. Search for G-07

What makes BMW coolant so special?

Pentofrost is German and states specifically that it will work for BMWs.
BMW I am sure will always say buy our coolant.

If I can get BMW coolant right down the street from me, then it would be a no brainer.

Hi,
I've been using Pentofrost NF for toping my 325i, 2010, E90 without any problems, I'm planning to flush the cooling system and I'll be using the Pentofrost NF one since I've had good experience with it. I did an oil change like 3 weeks ago and used Pentosin LL-01 (5W-30) with great results so I trust the brand.

WISH I COULD HELP YOU.

I've done the flush using the Pentofrost NF, everything is working great the coolant looks exactly the same as the BMW brand. I would recommend it for similar cars as mine.

I order my BMW coolant on line. I think it's $17 a gallon. It's no more expensive than stuff at the auto parts store.

Cheaper than a gallon of milk when you cut it down by half...
