Dual exit exhaust on my M sport 228i

Dropped my car off at the exhaust shop this morning for a muffler delete. I installed the M235i rear diffuser along with some burnt tips. The diffuser is all bolt on and literally took me 4 minutes to swap. Had to leave my car at the shop as I got called into work so I'll be making a YouTube video later this evening or tomorrow morning so you guys can hear how it sounds with the muffler delete.

Car sounds awesome in person! I'm a fan of loud exhausts so I'm not sure if it's gonna be everyone's cup of tea. There is a little bit of drone specially at low rpms but nothing you can't hide with turning the music up a little.

Only reason for that is because my exhaust guy didn't have 4" piping and I didn't want to wait another day for him to get some more in.

I have a stock diffuser for sale! Bought it for a project but never got around to it and its just sat in my living room still in the box.

I'll sell it for $120 shipped!

Yes the same can be done on the 235i. I am very curious to see what it sounds like with the extra 2 cylinders.

I may try this when i get my car. Seems pretty simple. I can do this in my garage with the welder.

Looks sick! Nice job. Would it be possible to get a few more videos of the sound? Preferably from the inside when driving and a few drive bys would be great too Thanks either way!

I've been meaning to get some more go pro videos but been so caught up with work lately. I'll try to get some sound clips up as soon as possible.

why not just the pipe further back and then put the stock muffler back on when you hand it back in at the end of the lease. That is what they would do if you leased a car and got performance muffler installed.
Just don't weld the delete pipes directly to the pipes on the car. Clamp it on like a muffler would be.

Clamping it would be a perfect solution for those worried ably voiding their warranty. Personally I don't mind it as I work for a bmw dealership and we are mod friendly.
