Which wheels would you choose with MG?

Here's a link to my prospective build, leaning toward the black accent wheels. But the all silver seem to pop more. Thoughts?

this isn't going to be a very helpful answer but you can't go wrong either way at least for MG.

I've seen MG in person with the black accents and it was stunning. I've also seen pics of MG with the silver wheels and it looked equally as stunning. And the great thing about MG is that when the wheels get dirty then it matches the color of the car

You're right, that didn't help at all! But true, can't go wrong. I guess I really like the look of the rim design and the black seems to make the rim appear smaller than it really is? But there's something unique about the black too. Oh well, good problem to have.

If I were to buy an F8x, I would go MG with the black 19s.

it really depends on the angle. If you go to the Pictures/Videos section you'll see quite a few examples of both the silver and the black 19s for the M4 at least (maybe not the M3).

This pic is IMO the best pic of MG with silver wheels:

and here is MG with black wheels:

one looks classy. one looks mean. both look good.

I'd go 18s all day long:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=987131

But between the two 19 inch options, the darker ones complete the look.

I think the 2-tone black wheels go really well with MG, but you cant go wrong with either.

I echo this! Either way, you win. Silver will pop more and really show how nice the MG color is, but if it were me, I would go with the black because the Two tone will help it pop more than all black, but still make it look much more aggressive.

I would say black, but you can't lose.

Aaaagh, these photos have me considering a switch from YMB to MG. I just have not been a dark color fan; Missouri in the summer = ton of solar heating. Really struggling with YMB, AW, MG. Definitely going with sport cloth interior.

I agree that both wheels go fine with MG. I think I slightly favor the silver/grey wheels. The 18" are good too.

I used the active ventilation timer on my E92 M3 and now on my M5 all the time. Get the color you want and stay cooler as well.

I never thought I'd like the black wheels more but they really look great with MG.

I originally had MG but switched to SO. These pics look great but I can't stand how easily it gets dirty. Watermark stains and dirt show up easily and there's not enough "mineral" in the grey to make it pop so it looks flat unless the car is super clean. I much prefer all other shades of BMW greys.

If you're going with MG just be ready to spend lots of time washing your car

Silver, the two tone just isn't doing it for me. Now if they were all black I'd have to consider it.

That's bad news. I really wish they hadn't stopped offering Space Grey, that would have been my choice.

Well, MG will be better maint-wise than Jerez I guess...

They are black (sides of spokes and center) and black chrome (face of wheel).

So all black-ish.

This would be my dilemma if I was choosing this year, I want the black wheels but I don't think there is enough contrast between the black wheels and mineral grey imo. I wish they still had space grey.

So I hope they come out with a lighter grey or another wheel option next year.
