steering vibration while braking? new fcab's
Hi guys,
My car had a terrible vibration while braking and the dealership confirmed it as being worn tension arm bushings, which I recently fixed by putting in M3 arms. A smaller amount of vibration is still present during moderate braking from 40+ mph. I thought I may be bad rotors, but was quickly reminded by the light roaring noise my car has always suffered from at speed that it could be a bad front bearing. Two nights ago, braking from roughly 60 on a downhill slope, the vibration was especially violent, I could see the beams from my lights bouncing all over the place. Is it one or the other? Or both? Vibrations are through the wheel, can't make out much from the pedal, though I thought I felt a high spot braking lightly at low speed. Still though, minor intermittent howling I dismissed as road noise is present. I'll try and get the car up and check for a wobbly wheel or a high spot on the rotor this weekend |

Rotors are warped.

Bent front wheels if you don't have play in your pedal from brakes

Yeah you'd feel a big difference in pedal play with warped rotors, it's like when your at the track and you can feel your stock brakes overheat they become pliable

I have the same issue, Except when i put hard braking down the vibration goes away (Most likely warped rotors)

No vibration under any condition under 40 mph Shimmy is only under moderate braking above that speed, goes away under hard braking When I first start the car and put it into drive, I get a light squeak as the car begins to move, goes away after I stop. This happened today and once a week ago. Sticking caliper? |
