Help - date of Manufacturer of Salvage Part

Is there a quick way to see what the manufacture date of a salvage car is? I am getting VIN from shop. They said it's not a flood car, but I want to confirm it is same age or newer and not flood.

go to realoem.com and put the last 7 of the VIN in the serial box in top left.

or just copy and paste this... http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do?vin=xxxxxxx and replace the 7 x's with the last seven of the vin

it will decode it and give you the production month for that bmw.
